Day three on the East Coast Trail, and the fog had settled in thick enough to cut with a knife. The famous views of dramatic cliffs and the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean were completely obscured, replaced by an intimate, almost otherworldly landscape that extended just a few feet in any direction.
